Caroline Crosson Gilpin
I have taught in New York City, Westchester County, and Connecticut public, boarding, and day schools. I have worked as a college level writing instructor.
Privately, I teach and tutor students in grades 5-12, hold writing workshops, and teach customized lessons.
I specialize in counseling students nationally and internationally on all aspects of their applications to independent schools, colleges and universities, and graduate schools, including law schools, business schools, and post-baccalaureate programs.
Previously, I was a full-time staff editor at The New York Times Learning Network, where I wrote daily online lessons for teachers and students worldwide. For many years, I was education editor at The Scarsdale Inquirer, where I reported on local and national education issues and mentored student interns. Currently, I am a writing consultant for Dwight Global Online School.
I am the author of four award-winning biographies for National Geographic Readers, and a literary scholar and writer for Frankenstein the Art Novel, published in 2023 by Bond & Grace.
I look forward to hearing from you.
