Hello!
I have taught in New York City, Westchester, and Connecticut public, boarding, and day schools. I have worked as a college level writing instructor.
Privately, I teach and tutor students in grades 5-12, hold writing workshops, and teach customized lessons.
For more than a decade, I have specialized in private school, college, and graduate school application essays, coaching students nationally.
Previously, I was a full-time editor at The New York Times Learning Network, where I wrote daily online lessons for teachers and students worldwide. For many years, I was education editor at The Scarsdale Inquirer, where I reported on local and national education issues and mentored student interns. I am the author of four award-winning biographies for National Geographic Readers.
Currently, I am a writing consultant for Dwight Global Online School.
